Great progress David, and as always an impressive amount of additional works as well!
Best wishes

Some filler was needed under the fuselage at the trailing edge wing root.
Image

This was rubbed down, the tailplanes were fitted and the cockpit was masked off.

The undersides have been painted in Revell Aqua Mid Grey 43.

Great progress I liked the look of that sand coloured plastic, I imagine it's quite nice to work with.

What's your plan with the top coats free hand airbrush or old school hairy stick?

The base colour will be airbrushed and the blotches will be brushed on Splash.

That sounds like a good idea, normally I just go freestyle airbrush but I think I would do the same as you in this instance.

Keep up the good work.

Morning David. Are you up yet? Or have you gone cross eyed? I did when I built this kit. So many little spots of paint!

I did have a couple of breaks during the night despondman, Splash, O_T, Nigel, Ian, iggie and life got in the way before lunch but I am back on line and this is the close of the Saetta Blitz.
The Revell Aqua Africa Yellow has been sprayed on.
Image

Out with the brushes, the green and brown disruptive has been brushed on using Humbrol 29 and 78 thinnned with flow enhancer to give me time to work.
Image
Image

The White band around the fuselage was painted freehand. I was getting pretty tired by this time and did stop work to have a break.
Image

Decals and varnish came next.
Image

Last but not least came final assembly to complete the model.
Image

Despite having a break I had to leave the bench a second time and the model was eventually completed with less than 15 minutes to spare.
