if he sews or staples the tracks together they should just stretch and fit Ok'ish. The tracks on all the ones I have ever done have gone on in that way with no problems. The main "problem" with them was that they were poorly moulded and the teeth etc on edges had extra or missing rubber

A bit more progress, but I'm at the waiting for paint to dry stage. The hull has been painted and I've made a start on painting the tracks. When I fit the tracks I'll probably superglue them to the roadwheels to keep them in place.

If the paint doesn't take too long to dry I might have the decals on before I go to bed.

Seems like paint takes longer to dry during a Blitzbau. Could be just me of course.

Just built one of these last week. The tracks were molded with a lot of extra rubber. I had no problem fitting the tracks, but as its been said, super glue would be the way to attach them

Thanks for the comments. :)

The hull and turret have had a coat of Klear and some of the decals have been applied. Its a good job I did them tonight as they were very reluctant to part from the backing paper, in fact a couple of them had to be virtually peeled off. :frown:

Image

That's all for tonight so I'll see you later for assembly of the wheels & suspension.

Looks good, Tim. You could always have it displayed forcing a river. That would save having to do all the road wheels and tracks. Our is that a bit much for a Blitz?

A bit of a late start this morning but I have painted the other side of the tracks and made a start on the suspension.

Image

Still five and a half hours to go so I should be finished with time to spare for a change.

Just under four hours to go and the wheels are on. They'll need a bit of touching up then it will be time to fit the tracks.

I'm already thinking about what I can do next.

Make sure the glue has gone off before fitting the tracks, otherwise they might pull the wheels out of position (been there, done that!)
