Thanks guys. You are right Shaun, not a bad kit just not an ideal blitz choice.

Anyway, apologies for the lack of updates. I had to go home to get some paint and a charger for the ipad. So to recap what has been going on.

We went with the all day lunch.

Cosmic turned up but he is not a well man. I know because he only had a soft drink!

Paul has gone to the Boro match so I am flying solo for now.
Got a rattle can of Rover midnight blue. It is drying on the Bearcat now but looks ok. I tested it on the drop tank.

I will post more images as soon as I can touch the model.

Press on O-T while we do a exorcism from afar on Cosmic. Soft drinks are just plain un-natural.

A quick update whilst I have a cup of tea and a Toblerone.

Time check with just 2 & a half hours to go.
Bombs done, rockets painted, prop & undercarriage on the go.

Just about to start decalling. I might just do it but I am flagging a bit now.

Great work OT, that looks excellent. As does that all-day lunch, just the thing for a winter Saturday blitz, low calorie as well I should imagine :ha: Poor old Cosmic - he must be proper ill as no doubt he is aware that the consumption of soft drinks in a pub is against the law unless one is driving

The power of Toblerone will help you through!

That's a very nice shade of blue. But (drum roll) have you finished?

Going to have to call this one a DNF.

This is as far as I got:

Another hour would probably have done it. My fault for over sleeping.

Still to do:
  • Fit wheels
    Attach U/C linkages
    Install exhaust stacks
    Re-attach tail wheel
    Attach U/C doors
    Fit rockets
    Attach arrester hook
    Klear coat
    Satin varnish
So there you go. I might try another one of these now that I know the pit falls. Maybe a South Vietnamese example with napalm.

Thanks to Paul for hosting the event & thanks for your encouraging words. I will try to have another blitz build before the end of the month.

Not to worry, OT. We know you're getting old and need to nap regularly. But you can be pleased with the work you did get done. It's cracking!

A good effort OT. Don't let it beat you though. Get it finished during the week.
