I'm only guessing here but I take it the T34 didn't come with separate road wheels!
Looks like you chaps are having a good time, keep up the good work!

Cheers Iggie. Just about out of vino actually but England won the rugby.
It looks like not much has done but just waiting for paint to dry before closing up the fuselage. There is lots of interior detail which I suspect won't be seen unless you look up the undercarriage bay.
Other than that the parts are really nice. My only gripe would be with the spruce gates which are really thick.

You heard it here first. This is definitely not a blitz kit.
Far too many little parts that can't be seen once painted and stuck in place and FIVE internal bulkheads that all have to line up. I should have done more research.
But after several hours of fettling and a blood sacrifice i finally have the fuselage together.
So this is where we are at half past midnight.
I was hoping to have the wings on and be ready for primer by now but such is modelling.
It is 1am here so time for a sleep before cracking on in the morning with the wings & engine. It might still be achievable.
Night, night.

Morning viewer(s).
It is 8:30 here and I have just woken up & pushed on with this blitz.
I have assembled the wings. Not problems just a little filler needed here & there. The canopy had a massive seam line right down the middle. It was so proud of the glass that I assumed it must be part of the frame!
It is not so I have carefully removed it and dipped the canopy again. More time wasted.
I hope Paul gets up soon. I'm starving.

Good show OT, long nap, the kit is obviously wearing you down.
I hope a good bacon filled breakfast is on order to build the spirits for the final battle.

First blood of the Blitz. I agree with Jim. The only cure for that wound is MORE BACON!

Oh Lordy, it's the BB House. At least I haven't (so far) been frightened to death with the sight of (a) OT in a Batman onesie or (b) OT in his birthday suit. Great work boys although I see the Bearcat is something more of a challenge than that made-for-blitzing T-34

Sorry for the lack of updates guys. The iPad is nearly out of juice so I have to ration the uploads. I forgot to pack the power lead.
Bacon butties for brekky. A Blitzbau must.
Getting the wings on was a milestone but not the end of the problems.
Fit was pretty good with just a tiny bit of filler required. Unfortunately the tail wheel has snapped inside the fuselage.
I will fix that later. I got the canopy masked & closed up the fuselage. I managed to forget to install the gunsight or seat harness! Oh well, too late now.
Working on the engine now. Once that is painted & the cowl fitted it will be time for primer.

Bad luck re the tail wheel OT but I'm sure that won't be an insurmountable problem for a man of your calibre. Is there no way that you can squeeze the gun sight in?

Not without causing more damage Shaun. The tail wheel will be forcibly repaired.ShaunW wrote:Bad luck re the tail wheel OT but I'm sure that won't be an insurmountable problem for a man of your calibre. Is there no way that you can squeeze the gun sight in?
Got the engine installed. Again this was overly complicated.
Then the engine cowl was made to fit. Plenty of room for improvement here Hobbyboss. It feels like it was designed for another kit. Just letting the glue dry before painting.

There's some nice looking detail in this kit OT but, given the issues that it is throwing at you, it would seem to be more suited to a lengthier build rather than the white heat of a Blitz - however, there's only one way to really assess a kit's Blitzability
