Jssel's Frozen Tiger***Frost bitten and finished*******
Re: Jssel's Frozen Tiger***Started*******
Hi Shaun. Yeah, that what we say this time of year. "It's mighty cold" Maybe some expletives in there also.
Ok, hour two and progressing well. Sorry that a couple of photos are a little blurry but you get the idea of whats inside the fuselage.
Overall the fit is quite good with only a couple of spots that filler will be needed.
Now I think the coffee is done.
Let's wake up a little

Coming along very nicely Jeff. Although I've not tried any of their 1/72nd kits, I have previously built and also have one or two Academy 1/48th aircraft in the stash and I like their efforts. That is a wonderful old BTO track, a classic however you look at it
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Good progress - looking good.
Re: Jssel's Frozen Tiger***Started*******
It has to happen during a Blitz. Just went through some connectivity issues and operating platform issues so this check in is a little late.
Finally did a hard re-boot and back in business.
Airframe mostly complete now with seam lines getting a clean up.
Forgot to mention in the last report that the cockpit sidewalls have some pretty good details moulded in. Unlike the F6F Hellcat kit which had individual pieces to glue in. That caused for extra wide cockpit railings so the closed canopy option was used. This one is differnt so we shall see what happens on that part.
So here is the state of play.
This will get the blood pumping. Than off to get some food.

A little egg and ham mix on toast and back to full power. Thanks Splash for checking in.
And the P40 has legs. More work to do on the seams but looking at stirring my paints now.
Feel like I am in a time warp.

While the big parts are setting up I took the time to mask the clear parts. This is the real killer of Blitzbau's in my opinion but now it is out of the way.
As I prepare to put some colors on I sprayed the spinner, wheel hubs and propeller tips yellow.
State of play.
Ok. Something for the oldsters. Where you a Mod?

Starting to put the OD on now. Here is the propeller assembly ready to put on.
Time check and the OD is put on.
See if I can find a good Blitz lunch.

Morning Jeff. Missed the start as I was in bed sleeping (working nights) when you started. Fortunately I'm here at my desk for the next 12 hours, so I'll keep you company!
Great work so far. And judging by your pace you'll be done in the next 3-4 hours!

That's really coming along well. Nice work.

Hi Ian and thank you for looking in. You too mjatx. All the way from Austin, by God, Texas.
Happiness is a near empty kit box.
The decaling is near complete. The nose art decals are not conforming very easily. had the same problem with the Hellcat. Copius amounts of Solv-a-Set and Future will do the trick eventually.
