A very clever conversion, and an interchangeable nose to boot.

Good work, very creative !
Looks sorta like the offspring of a Hellcat and Mauler

Brilliant stuff throughout this build! Especially like the current nose/prop/spinner
Best wishes

Re: Grumman F6F-7 Super Hellcat
Thank you, all.
I got a bit impatient and just put on lots of little sticky-out bits this evening. I know this is a silly order in which to do things, but there you go. A couple of small decals on tomorrow, another coat of klear and maybe some exhaust staining and I'm done.
regards,
Martin

. . . and it's finished. As well as the above actions, I also blew across multiple mist coats of satin varnish to dull down the high shine:

Now that is smart, very plausible and realistic looking. Great job on the weathering too, not too much but enough to look used and abused. Stunning

An excellent and very convincing whif. The subtle weathering makes it.

Brilliantly executed, the only problem is, it looks so right it can't be a what if
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.
