Re: despondman's Knights Templar Hurricane
With canopy, propeller and decals applied it looks more a hurricane.
I am reasonably happy with this, but not 100% sure about the very simple colour scheme. Thinking of adding a black stripe around each wing, but probably will not have the time. I think I will just take this as my 1st try at a Knights Templar Hurricane and work on the idea for another try later in the year.

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

That anti-glare panel against the white makes the Hurricane look a lot meaner. I like it.

That's turned out very well and looks the part. Very impressed with the decals.
Enjoyment over accuracy. That's my motto

Yep, colour scheme is simple but stylish. Would respond well to some subtle weathering if you were so inclined.

Martin I knew you were right on this, but weathering isn't something I have done much of and so I was a bit unsure about doing it. Anyway once you put the idea in my head I knew I couldn't rest until I tried it. So here is the finished model with some not so great weathering, but which I do think helps add interest to the otherwise white surface.Martin R wrote:Yep, colour scheme is simple but stylish. Nice little model to build, and pleased how it turned out. I will definitely build more Knights Templar Hurricanes in the future.

Great finish and a novel scheme
Best wishes

I agree with Mark. Just enough to break up the white, without looking overdone. That's a great first attempt.MarkyM607 wrote:The weathering looks great.

Man that came out great, that scheme works well with those decals, and super weathering.

That turned out well. Nice bit of weathering too.
