This is a single-type GB of the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt - any kit, any scale, any variant, any markings.

This GB started from a threads here.

The GB runs from Saturday, January 31st to Sunday, March 1st - local time; your GBL are Lancfan & TobyC who will fill in any other info although it seems pretty straightforward ....

Same here. Looking forward to this as it will be the first P47 I've ever built. I'll be building the HB P47 razorback in between my duties here as a GB and elsewhere.

Welcome aboard Ratch, I see we are both building the identical Academy kit, I haven't built this one before but if mine builds as well as their Tempest and Typhoon which I have built before I will be an happy builder.

I'm in now, I nearly forgot but thanks to David's PMs (good idea mate) it jogged me into action. I've always liked a P-47, it's muscular and big, only our American friends could build something like this, no delicacy, more brute force, a bit like their Muscle Cars (which I am also a fan of). I'll be doing the aging Airfix 1/72nd example.

I'm going to be a late starter with this one as I've only just ordered the Academy 1/48 P-47D "Gabreski" from eBay, which should touch down here any day now so watch this space; well, not this space, but my seperate build thread I mean...
Cheers
