OT, that's coming along very nicely. I do like the soft camou finish on it.

O_T, I use a small brush trimmed back to a few bristles, carefully applying the chips with very little paint, viewing the job through a head magnifier.Old_Tonto wrote: any advice on the best way to achieve paint chipping?

Re: OT's Burmese Bruiser
Thanks for the advice David. I am going to practice on an old kit first.

Re: OT's Burmese Bruiser
Had an issue with the decals of the white ID stripes when using Microsol.
A second coat made them settle down though.
I didn't weather this kit as much as I had intended because I quite like the finish I achieved so I just added a little panel line wash around the engine cowl and main flaps.
Then added some gun & exhaust stains with Tamiya weathering powders. A little paint chipping at the wing roots to simulate pilot and ground crew stepping on the wings
was achieved with silver paint and a sponge. I think it worked quite well.
Here is the finished model:
Glamour shots to follow if we get some sunlight soon!
A big thanks once again to David (lancfan) for the decals. Cheers mate.

I reckon your decal stripes are much neater than my shakey painted ones. Thats a nice job all around too.
