Not sure whether to do it as a C or a D. Doesn't seem to be much physical difference unless some can put me right on that.

The C model was very close to the B model.
The first 100 or so D models were identical to the C model just built in a different plant (I'm assuming we're talking turtledecks).
After that, as with any WW2 US aircraft, you have to get down to block-number & manufacturer & date to determine differences and if they are visually different - they did not march along in an orderly manner.

Washed an ready to go. Not sure what markings I'll be using for this.

Never done a Hobby Boss kit, they look quite basic in parts terms, hows the detail/panel lines?

Better than some others I've come across. Interior detail is a bit sparse but overall pretty good.

I've done a few HobbyBoss kits but not this one. I've enjoyed making them every time, and am looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.

This is the kit I'm building although I may use markings for a C rather than those that come with it.

Fairly whizzing along. Nice fit with no issues whatsoever so far.



I'm rapidly becoming a fan of Tamiya extra thin cement.

I have only ever built the MiG-15 in this series Toby but I do think they are really good kits and would make an excellent follow-on from the new Airfix Quickbuild models.

Cockpit sprayed albeit the airbrush did spit but not a worry and also a small fillet of plasticard to fill gap ahead of the IP

Looking good there Toby, it'll look the part in that scheme though I do question if the two Stars & basr under with wings are correct, noramlly just the one starbopard side. I wonder was this for increased recognition?
