Zee's Airfix 1/72 P-47D Thunderbolt

Any kit, scale, markings as long as it is a P-47 Thunderbolt.

Thanks for the comments guys, nice!

Mainly due to the simplicity of the kit and the OOB nature of the build progress has been quick. The main airframe is complete. Fuselage joins only needed a light sanding to look respectable, upper wing-to-fuselage join needed a little bit of filler and a sanding to tidy the blend. I did the canopy framing before attaching it to the plane (I always do it that way, I find it quicker and easier).

She was now ready for paint! I masked the canopy and then sprayed the nose yellow (Hu24) and the tail fin red (Hu60) then, when dry, I masked up those areas and I am now ready for the main colours, underside and top, which I am hoping to get done later tonight.

I reckon she'll be done this weekend. I'm really enjoying this one, I'm glad this GB was suggested chaps, well done!

Cracking along with this one, looks like a nice (if basic) kit.
