Hi Marek!
Great painting! Decals for French version of P-47 gives Revell in kit no.04155 from 2002. (On boxart is P-47 "Balls out")
I see that we have a similar tempo.
I look forward to continuation!

I built that one, 'Balls out' of course. Tried to find French decals that were left on the sheet but found them only ... after I set to do the Gooch. Next time, I have at least another one in stash waiting. Maybe next, who knows? I also saw that we have similar tempo.
Maybe we should have a Same tempo group build :)
In my case some model do not get finished though, so that may be a problem :)

Grumpy vel Gooch continues on its way to the finish. Airframe is painted (I shot it with gloss after taking pictures) and ready to be decaled today or tomorrow. Visible cosmetic paint mistakes corrected. Only after masking the white did I realize that on this particular plane, the invasion stripes had black and white reversed, but unlike most of time, I caught it in time to remask before spraying black.

Now on to the decals!

Very nicely you went aluminum color. Do not see much pigment, that looks sometimes like brokat.
What kind of paint did you use?
As for the group - I am too! I sometimes do not finish models. So if we do not have time to finish our models together, I will not be sad :)

ModelMaster Acryl Aluminum is what shines here on Grumpy. Sometimes it lays better sometimes not so well, I guess depending really how my hand went and what the mixture to environment relationship was. There is one more grainy place exactly in a mid-frame south of the canopy. I will have to decide if that stays or goes to sanding station. It is not bad but could be better.

Marek! :) I also used the same color! MM 4677 :) But I do not like mine as yours. I did have streaks from "Chainmail" Citadel Colour from Warhammer. I do not know if I will not use MM Magnesium yet. For sure I do a little "Smash" underside Jug, because on the pictures they look as very worn.

Cracking paint job, though I preferred the 'coral fish' scheme. I am even tempted to pinch it and use it on something in the What If? GB.

I have to agree that the 'coral fish' scheme brought something of an industrial feeling to it and it was quite cool to see it slowly modulated by consecutive passes with an airbrush :). Lots (in my world of slow modelling) of progress made through the weekend. Decals on, bays painted with house mixture simulating zinc chromate yellow (8 yellow +2 light green or 1 russian green, gives me something close enough), propeller on, paper tanks painted. All this to give me this state of matters:

Thanks guys! Hasegawa P-47, though quite a aged model provides enough pleasure to run with it.
