Lancfan's Horton GO 229 ***FINISHED***

Many thanks Toby, I have wanted to create a convincing plywood effect for some time and have given this a lot of thought. I hit on the idea of using dirty varnish to add a tint to a model and decided to try this here- it could so easily have failed and there was a risk of this ending up in the bin but it worked so well I decided to try it again on the camouflage by using light and dark greys to apply the pattern and then spraying varnish tinted with a third grey to bring the two colours together. I am not good enough at spray painting to do this effect with an airbrush, indeed my airbrush probably would not spray a fine enough pin point of paint to do this anyway so this was a way around that problem also.

Finished, Horton GO229 V2/V3 hybrid finished as it could possibly look should it ever be fully restored.
One wing panel is displayed unfinished and one engine is left uncowled for use as educational training aids.
