I made a start today by assembling the engine nacelles and wings.

I've checked the canopy and it looks OK, despite what I've heard about them.

I gather it's one of the best 262 kits about in that scale.

Yes, it is one of the better ones.

A bit more progress. The engines have been fitted to the wings and the fuselage has been assembled. I can fit the cockpit interior later as it will fit in from underneath.

A dry fit of the wings and fuselage showed that I shouldn't need any filler. :)

Is this the Matchbox tool or do Revell have a different one?

Looking good Tim
Best wishes

It's Revell's own tooling that came out in the mid 90's.

This looks to be a nice enough kit to me Tim. She might need some nose weight before you close that fuselage though, it's been a while since I built a '262 but I think they will tail sit.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

It's been a while since I did anything to the 262 but today I completed the cockpit tub.

Image

The tub was fitted to the fuselage, the wings added and some plasticene crammed into the nose.

A couple of sink marks on the engine nacelles needed a dab of filler but apart from that it will just need the seams sanding down. :)
