Re: Toby's Russian Salamander
Work has started. Weight added before closing up.
Another coat of primer put on as I missed some parts of the fuselage so waited until I joined the two halves.
Not a great deal of cockpit detail but then HB aren't renowned for that although the panel lines are nicely recessed and will allow unobtrusive weathering using the SirT tried and tested method

Moving along quite nicely now.
No major fit problems but I don't think this is one of their best.

The reverse had to be true for me; on and off building sites all week and beer breath doesn't go down well nowadaysTobyC wrote:No. I don't drink at weekends oddly enoughiggie wrote:Positively racing along!

Especially as I'm the safety man

Weathering done with a light grey wash although I may have overdone it and will have to respray a very light coat of grey over again.

I've calmed down the weathering a bit and added the engine. The nose probe broke off at some stage as I knew it would but HB do supply a spare.

That's looking really good mate, will be nice to see her finished. I just read the kit review on Aeroscale and may well have to add one to my Wants list now, or two in fact as I'd like to do both schemes.
