Toby's Komet. FINISHED.

Post by TobyC »

Well it would be rude not to have one and will start it once the Whif is finished. I'll be using the HobbyBoss kit due to time constraints.

What was the fastest plane in WW2 is turning out to be the fastest build I've ever done.

Unmasked and quite happy although the pictures on the HB instructions are nothing like the real colours.
Their idea of RLM81 looks almost black whereas in real life it's very much a brown violet.

Decalling started. HB swastikas come in halves so I'll be using some proper Techmod ones.

The only issue I have found is with the skid plate underneath which will take some butchering to fit. Most unlike HobbyBoss

Wheels on and light satin varnish applied. Next to do the same to the upper fuselage and it's all finished.

That is great work Toby. Those HB kits certainly speed things up.

It such a shame that their Spitfire kits are crap.
