I had a look at my references and....

Bugger.

It's got underwing serials!

Not to worry, though, because I will order them from Hannants and carry on!

Underwing serials are on their way to Castle Cogdon.

This and the BBMF Spit will hit the bench at the same time, due to the two kits being the same.

I don't foresee much in the way of issues for either of these, although the all-white scheme might make things interesting!

OK, so finally got my bum in gear and these two Spitfires on the bench!

As the kit for the BBMF Spit and the white Spit are the same, I'll not take two sets of pics until the time comes to start painting!

Spit bits:

A bit blurry, but here are the components drying after a coat of greenish-grey.

The two un-painted areas on the wings are the panels that need cutting out and replaced by extra parts. I painted those, too!

These kits go together quick, so expect a lot to be done by Monday!

Sticking the wings together:

Dunno if you can see it in the pics but, despite the boxes being exactly the same, these kits are two different colours. Makes it a bit easier to tell the bits apart!

Flying along Daz, anyone would think that you had built one (or two) of these before. :ha: :ha:

They remind me of a Ju52 I saw once (at least I think it was a Ju52, anyway!).

I'll try to find a pic of that!

Anyway, the wings and tailplanes of both models are now attached. So now it's on to assembling the fiddly parts and whacking on the first coats to the undersides.

First bit of paint has gone on the two Spits - white on one (all over) and light grey on the undersides of the other. I think one will be finished long before the other!
