Re: Jeff's What about BoB build
Finally getting another update in. The kit is starting to give me a bit of "push back" at this stage. Everything seems to need extra attention. That is punishment for building a Tamiya. You get spoiled easily.
So here is the wing/fuselage joint in the raw after a bit of filling and sanding:
Touched up and Tamiya Surface Primer added. Much better.
So far so good and with a little more clean-up painting will commence.
Now on to the prop. Using the Humbrol cutting mat as a guide the aircrew blades are added to the hub. I am impressed at this point.
One little issue.............The blade shafts are to short and the spinner will not fit. So.....enough for one night until I can think of extending the shafts to correct the issue.

Sorry friends but I will not be able to finish this one. So much push back that I am not feel good about it. Better to set it aside and tidy it up later than push it and screw the whole thing up.

No worries, Jeff - I did the same with my Tamiya VIII last year. When it starts to fight back, it no longer remains fun....

It's always a bummer when things like that dart to happen :/ just a thought if you haven't already thought of it, easy fix for the spinner not fitting, rather than extend the blades, just trim the blades back a bit to extend the blade shafts Without actually extending them if that makes sense giving the required clearance,
