If you need any more Celtic bosses, give me a shout as I think I still have some from my Spit T.8 build.

Cheers Daren but I'm OK with a set left over from the Airfix Hurricane.

Re: Lancfan's Irish Air Corps Seafire
I have had a change of plan and to convert the kit into a Seafire IIIc I will use a spare Airfix mkV fuselage with the mkIX wing in a similar manner to that which I used for the RAAF Spitfire Vc build, detailing the cockpit of this fuselage will be less trouble than shortening the nose of the mkIX.
My first step was to convert the wing into that of a Seafire III, the locating block for the port radiator has been cut away to make room for a spare oil cooler and the hole has been filled, in this case with car filler. The next step was to mark out and cut the wing fold lines and drill out the holes for the Browning MGs, the wing now looks like this-
Das Clay liners have been made to detail the cockpit using a previously made mould, the Snap'N'Glue lugs and cockpit locating brackets have been cut away from the fuselage and the sidewalls have been thinned down ready for the new details. This shot shows the new sidewall detail cyano'd down.
The cockpit sidewalls have now been finished and the fuselage halves have been glued together.

Good start. Should look really nice in those markings.

I did not get to the bench yesterday but I am now pushing the build towards the finish, this will be a close run thing and I will be counting minutes before I am done. The wings have been joined to the fuselage and the gaps at the wing root underside have been filled, I am now waiting for this to dry before I can continue.
