An Antipoedian 8 ** Finished **

It's the good ol' YCNHTM Spitfire GB - any kit, any scale, any era, and mark, it's just got to be a Spitfire/Seafire ...
Runs 28 February through 29 March and your hosts are Lancfan and Paul Bradley.

An Antipoedian 8 ** Finished **

Post by fredk »

Well I hope, if I can find the decals!

If PaulBradley hadn't asked how we were getting on I'd never have thought of doing another one.
Its Monday, I might get it done by Sunday. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

A simple kit, might go together quickly.
I put the decals aside so I could give the a coat of LDF but now I can't find them. I really want to do that Mk8 with teeth.

I have a spare set if you need them, Fred. Providing, of course, you're not on the other side of the world!

Aaah, so if you don't get it finished, you can blame me, eh? ;-) :ha:

Cool kit - please remind me of the provenance of Remus kits? Frog?

Definitely looks like the Frog Mk.VIII/IX that I built last year.

Chaps,

I'm guessing that everyone else can see Fred's pics? I just get little red crosses. Something to do with my browser, maybe?

regards,

Martin

As I mentioned to another Mk VIII builder Temora Aviation Museum has some good photos of their Mk VIII, mainly in flight.
It's only 100km away from here but I hav'n't been there for a while.

So far;

Hope to get the MSG on this evening.
The kit canopy didn't look like a Spitfire canopy at all but I had a spare vac one, but then I had to put a seat, a control column and i/p in the cockpit.

Ah nostalgia, I remember getting one of those as a nipper in the 70's. To a kid who only knew Airfix, Revell and the odd Frog it seemed exotic! I looked for others by Remus, but never found any.

Looking good so far

This is now a race to the finish. Almost as bad as a blitz.
