Looking great. I'd vote to leave it pretty clean.

I shall probably hint at weathering, with some exhaust streaking as seen on photos of the real thing. Even one long patrol after 'washing' would have left its mark.

I messed up. On Tuesday, I had put some Solvaset on the upper wing roundels so they'd conform to the panel lines, then promptly forgot and picked up one of the wings to work on the u/c - and I smudged the decal........ So I spent part of last night trying to repair it with spare decal and paint. I'm so annoyed at myself for making such a dumb, rookie mistake.

I did at least get the u/c legs in place yesterday. Today, I need to work on the wheels and perhaps get the airframe assembled. I'll be away Friday/Saturday, which will leave a lot to do on Sunday. I doubt I'll completely finish in time, but I will not rush this to get it done; I'll finish it in my Workbench Window thread if necessary.

Some good progress this evening. Got the tailplanes on, as well as the tail wheel:

The undercarriage is in place, as are the doors:

I managed to tidy up the roundel on the upper wing - still not perfect, but I'll give that another try on Sunday.

A late push sees this one finished! I finished up the canopy framing and rear turret last night after I got home, then did some weathering with the airbrush late this morning, after house work... ;-) After lunch, I glued on the wings, added the various antenna and aerial wires, then some final touching up. Jim sent me some more Canadian ensigns, and they went on perfectly - cheers, Jim!! 8-)

And here she is:

Looks good. It certainly fires the "wow...that's different" sentiment.
