Primed and masked and like BBR I had to order some ADC grey as I thought I had some but hadn't so will have to wait for delivery before I start to spray..

That's looking very good, the primer looks nice and even and flat
Best wishes

Yes. It went on well. Good old Halfords rattle can. Usually use Vallejo but it was close to hand and I threw caution to the wind.iggie wrote:That's looking very good, the primer looks nice and even and flat

same primer AND adc? You realise this puts us in direct competition?! I might have to go get a fresh rattle can so i can be at the top of my game.

Re: Toby's Dagger
About 15% water was added. Might have been a bit more but seems to have gone on ok. I prefer the ready thinned stuff tbh.Blueberryruby wrote:whats the stuff like to spray with? need much thinning down?

Re: Toby's Dagger
Good progress Toby, the ADC looks on a lighter side but nonetheless very convincing.

You can buy ready thinned paints? That's handy.TobyC wrote:About 15% water was added. Might have been a bit more but seems to have gone on ok. I prefer the ready thinned stuff tbh.Blueberryruby wrote:whats the stuff like to spray with? need much thinning down?
I definitely added far too much water. I had in my head that you said 36% for some reason so i went with an approximation of that!

Re: Toby's Dagger
Vallejo Model Air, Mig Ammo and Hataka are thee acrylic paints that are ready to use for spraying. Mig Ammo being the best imo but their range is not as extensive as Vallejo's. Hataka is fine but needs a damn good shake before use and I only use my .5mm needle airbrush for that. They do some nice sets though and I've just got their Vietnam set which does have ADC grey and it looks a bit darker than the Xtracrylix version. I may use it on the Dagger
