Regards Splash
Splash not quite sure what you mean by circular exhaust blank if you are building it wheels down

Some work done on the cockpit although it's not really going to be seen so won't be going overboard
Also side nacelles attached.

That exhaust looks like a good fit, nice recovery!

That was just a loose fitting. I've just realised what splash meant. Only took 18 hours

I was scratching my head about that, my thought is that if the wheels are down is there a gap that light can get through?

As fas as I'm aware it's the anti dirt covers they put over inlets and exhausts when the plane is at rest......I think ;-)

Best wishes

Fuselage closed up and bottom wing attached. This kit doesn't have many parts and as I'm doing it with the bomb doors closed I have lots of ordnance left if anyone wants them.

Never ever build any of my kits wheels up as that means a pilot has to be added and I just don't think no matter how good someone is at painting the tones and colours of flesh can't be truly represented even in this scale.

Pretty sure the wheel wells and inside gear doors are interior green like the F-106 also had (at least according to the pics I have from the 70's).

Also, I find pilots in 72nd scale, especially modern ones, extremely fun to paint. Most of the time the visor is down and the oxygen mask is on combined with flying gloves so no flesh to paint. But if I do have flesh I pick a nice flesh color and then hit it with a brown wash to bring out the details.
