Toby and the Crew, thanks for keeping it comfortably open for the late one. Finally I had finished the CF-104 yesterday. I had several (... let's just say that a lot of sailor language was used ...) moments. I went through 4 different pitot tubes; broke the original off, glued it back after painting then broke it in the middle. Carved copy in plastic, drilled the nose, put it in, just in time to ... brake it. I used the plastic rod, broke it and lost it. Finally I put the brass rod in and it stayed. Not an OEM part by any mean. :) By the time my pitot adventure ended I was exhausted :) and able only to do a quick photo session. Other than my own problematic handling of the model, I do not think there is anything not modeller-friendly in it.

I declare it finished to let it rest from me in a display cabinet. More pics in the aircraft gallery

I love the metal effect on '732, really a beautiful job. I despair of being able to do one that well.

A good model is any model you can walk away from.

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.
