Last night I fumbled it onto the floor AGAIN and broke off the OTHER horizontal stab, this is looking quite cockeyed now but I am determind to press ahead. Various things about this model will never be quite right. The tail still has some twist imparted by fixing the warp, and points a couple of degrees to starboard. Not all of the seams are filled as smoothly as I would wish. One nice thing about saving the cockpit detailing to the end is that I can reserve the decision of how much effort to put into the cockpit. And it will be not much! This model will look fine from a distance but it is not one for close inspection.

Major painting done. Rattle can spray paint tends to creep under masking tape, so it feels like I am repainting half of this model with my smallest paint brush to clean up the lines. One more session should about do it.

I've cut up the kit seats to look a little more like the real thing and am building the ejecty part on the back.

Coming along now, I dug mine out from it's box of shame with a thought to finishing it off. I love Matchbox kits but this one isn't in my top ten. Maybe an original boxing would fit better.

Looking good. I have the same decal sheet and plan to do Hawk One Canada as I got to see her in real life when I was a teen.

Going to use the Revell kit though. Did the Matchbox one years ago.

Good call, philp. I am saving the Hawk One markings for a Revell kit someday as well. Alouette One was the only one I got to see back in the day, and it's the one not on the sheet.

Looking good. Believe it or not, I never saw any of the "Special" Voodoos back in the day. Lots and lots of standard birds though.

Do you need an extension to finish?

In our case, does it mean Toby will cut an inch out of the airframe for each day? :)
