I couldn't get good coverage brush painted the white on the nose cone so I decided to spray it. So the 104 got cocooned in masking tape;

So, now I've got the white done, the black, wheels on, just doing the orange on the tanks now. Its taking a lot of coats to get it even. Not there even yet. I think I'll start the decaling whilst putting on more coats of orange;

With huge thanks to Marek, who has sent me a copy of the Hasegawa decals placement I can find out where many of the signs/notices/placards go on the airframe from my sheet of decals.

Great work Fred, I've just got to attempt the red stripe on the pitot now. Did you find fitting the undercarriage doors fiddly?

Yes, a bit. I used 5 to 10 sec setting superglue. On the first of the main ones I had a couple of tries to find the right angle so that I could fit the wheel.
The decal strip round the pitot was a doddle. Once it had caught at the start it spiraled nicely. Just a couple of touches to get the spacing even. Hardest bit was judging how long a strip to use. I was less than 1mm out, finished off with a touch of red paint.

I so like this Fred. I'm a big fan of camo'd F-104s over silver ones & I reckon that what you've done with this is spot on. :)

Very nicely done! It's the most striking scheme for the piloted missile and you have made it to be a very striking model. I like the Norm 72 scheme!

What a lovely job , brilliant camo job. I don't know why I was never a fan of the widow maker but I am very tempted to build one now.
