Sign-up and Chat

Modelling any subject from a "lesser represented" country; which is not a value judgment. Kits may be any scale or subject but you must sign-up and have your country and subject approved. You may build any number of models or countries, but there may be only one modeler per country !!!
GB runs 4 Apr - 3 May; your host is fredk.

I'm still in with a maybe-Malian Mig (what else ;-) ) -21.

I say "maybe" because I'm having a devil of a job researching the correct camouflage scheme for the blighter. On the bright side I have markings and information for Tanzanian, Somalian and Ugandan machines so I have a back up plan at least 8-) .

I'm really impressed with the variety of countries and kits, can't wait for this to get started, and to see them all finished.

I'm a bit late, but anyone in NZ can have started just over 3 and a half hours ago, nearly 1 and a half hours ago in eastern Aus. West Oz has 1 & a half hours to go till start time.

I'll do the 1/72 Hasegawa F-5A. I've asked people to vote to choose Norwegian, Dutch or Spanish. I think all 3 of those air forces are still available.

I'm afraid that Mali is a no-go as I don't have enough references to paint the thing. Berna may do nice decals but their colour instructions are a bit pants. The sheet has options for 3 different aircraft but the instructions only show one side of each and I've had no luck with either the Internet or my own reference library. Berna's paint references are also a bit vague to say the least.

So, if it's OK, my model for the GB will now be a Ugandan Mig-21 depicting an aircraft that was destroyed during the Israeli raid on Entebbe in 1976.

Just got my A-26 out and realised it was the kit I was going to use for the Twin's GB, meaning it has an undercoat on the interior parts. Is this ok to use? If not I have a back-up for the same air force

I'll give this one an ''ok'', as long as nothing is glued up. ;-)

Fred, sorry I didn't read the blurb about getting the ok first. Am I ok with the Lightning in Saudi Markings?
