Sign-up and Chat

Modelling any subject from a "lesser represented" country; which is not a value judgment. Kits may be any scale or subject but you must sign-up and have your country and subject approved. You may build any number of models or countries, but there may be only one modeler per country !!!

Hi Fred - late sign up due to work commitments, but I'd like to join in with an Egyptian Air Force Avro Lancaster please.

I also have a Hannants sheet of generic Iraqi decals ( 1/72) I'd like to try out on anything suitable I can lay my hands on at Cosford this Sundays.

Cheers
Al.

Fred

Spain won the vote. So it will now be a Spanish SRF-5A.

2 questions, Fred.

1 - Is it too late to add another project?
and
2 - Is Australia 'Lesser Known' enough?......it's going to be a tank if that helps with the obscurity factor

1. Its never too late
2. If it was an aircraft then it would need the Roo in the marking. An Ozzie tank is ok

Bonzer, mate! I believe there actually is a kangaroo (or some other Antipodean wildlife) in the markings, albeit requiring a spectron microscope to see in 1/72! :-D

My first choice would have been a captured Italian M13/40 (Double points?) with Kangaroo emblems painted on, but I couldn't get hold of one, so it's going to be the Esci Matilda from my stash.

I've just gone over the main list on page 1.
23 sign ups
29 build threads started.
Some modellers haven't started their build threads for their second [or third] build. Time enough yet.
Some modellers yet to start. I'll give those uns a shout on Sunday/Monday.
Build threads started are in italics. Finished builds are in red italics.
If I've missed anything or miscounted please tell me

Carry on chaps, as you were.

Just one week left chaps.
Don't forget to put some photos into the Gallery when you're completed your subject.

Awwww buttocks! two weeks ago I spotted some old kits in the second hand section of a hobby shop (not my usual) including the Airfix 54mm 1815 Rifleman and the Matchbox Brewster Buffalo. I went back on friday to get them to do the Buffalo in the Dutch colours that I flew in in IL-2 Sturmovik, Pacific Aces, in the Singapore theatre. The shop is shut for a month for holidays!

It is *possible* that I might have time for a third - I still have plenty left on my Hawks In Worldwide Service sheet, and I can practically build a Hawk in my sleep these days. A Boring Grey Malaysian Mk108 might work if no-one's claimed Malaysia yet.

That's if I've got a 100-series in the stash to build. But I think I do.
