Neither did I till I opened the box OT. A bit of background information reveals that the FANA took delivery of 10 to 14 SU-20M's in early 1982 but they suffered heavy attrition during work-up and operations. Only 4 remained operational after the events of 1987 and they were replaced in the early 90's by a fresh delivery of Su-22M3's and M4's.
Colour schemes were simple consisting of Tan/Green over Light Grey Blue with national roundels and unit numbers on the nose, like this:

Box shots later.

But quite an effective one as demonstrated in many conflicts, not too good at the air to air mission though....

And when I lived in Piła and "suka" flew over me in a low passage shortly after the start... Unforgettable experience...
(In Piła military airport was ... in city center).
I mention those good old days with pleasure, when I'll be watching your workshop :)

Good to have you on board Przemek  and yes I had the experience of a Su-22 at low level a few years ago at an air show (the name escapes me at the moment) so so loud  8-) the sound physically shook my whole body. Much like the last experience I had with a MiG-29, Russian Cold War aircraft are not shy about announcing their arrival.

I'm pretty sure I saw four of these in formation at Fairford one year (either that or they were Su-17's). Noisy buggers no doubt but worth seeing (and hearing!!).
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Maybe you could propose it as a single type group build?

Just to say that work will commence in a couple of days as I am currently away seeing family, not a lot of time for modelling.

You mean to say that you didn't take it with you?

I managed to sneak three kits into my bag. ;-)

A very small start Fred, employment issues are limiting progress across the board but there will be some pictorial evidence tomorrow
