Hi David, the kit was picked up at a show without the box so I am not sure which mould it is, though the instructions have 03026 printed on the bottom if that helps.

Assembly is almost complete now:

Although there is quite an extensive bomb load with the Airfix kit it does not have the necessary ones for the Swiss scheme. Luckily I retained the ones from the Revell kit from whence the decals came (which is why they are red).

Going well
According to the ATF 03026 was from 1976 to 2007, replaced with a new kit in '09

I can never quite get that panel behind the rear cockpit to sit down properly - did you find you had to sand the rear cockpit bulkhead any?

Hi Brickie, the only problem I encountered was that the cockpit floor has a slight bow to it. By gluing the front, allowing it to dry and then gluing the rear it seemed to fit OK. There is a gap at the top of the rear bulkhead but once the canopy is on it cannot be seen.

Construction is now complete and it has been washed ready for the spray booth:

The cockpit area will be masked off using some sponge prior to painting.

Nice build, but just one minor point. The kit is based on the prototype, and does not have the wing fences associated with the production aircraft.

Well spotted, and thanks for the info.

I have managed to get this primed, followed by numerous coats of white on the top of the fuselage:

This was followed by the grey on the wings:

Next task will be to knock up the wing fences (thanks for the tip Paul). Luckily they are situated in the red zone so will not cause too much of a dilemma for the paintwork. Annoyingly though my airbrush is playing up which tends to really throw my MOJO off. I will persevere and try to get this done within the time line.

Thanks Guys.

I decided to bite the bullet and get a new airbrush so as to get this build completed. After a bit of familiarity spraying I attacked this with a coat of yellow:

Followed quickly by a couple of coats of red:

I will leave it overnight to cure fully before removing the masking.

That'll come on like a rocket now.
What make and type of a/b did you get?

It was just a cheapo job but it is surprisingly good, it will be interesting to see how long it lasts.

Masking removed and I must say I am quite pleased with the result:

I managed to knock a rocket off but that is easily fixed. I have now applied a coat of klear and once dry will tackle the decals.
