Tim's Singapore Strikemaster **Finished**

Post by TimJ »

I'll be building an Airfix Strikemaster in Republic of Singapore Air Force markings.

The decals are printed on the infamous brown paper so I'm hoping they'll be OK.

Wow - Airfix printed decals on brown paper?! I didn't know that - I have a couple of those sheets and I thought they'd gone over...

Nice Choice BTW - The Strikemasters a cool little Aeroplane.
Stuart Templeton I may not be good but I'm slow...

I started by assembling the wings. After a bit of fettling everything fitted together OK but I'll need some filler for where the tanks join the wingtips.

I've also made a start on the cockpit.

The seats don't go in until later so this is ready to be fitted to the fuselage.

Sorry about the lack of activity. I have got some more done over the last few days. The fuselage is closed up and the wings fitted.

It looks like I've got some filling and sanding to do next.

Nice looking kit. The Jet Provost/Strikemaster is a pretty shape.

After some more filling and sanding I finally got round to painting. So far the tanks have had a coat of orange and the first two camo colours are on.

I'm not sure if it'll be finished before Tuesday night but it won't be far off.
