That's looking really good...Classic Plane provides a good foundation for a nice outcome...

Yeah, I'm really impressed with the fit of the parts on this.
I built an undercarriage:

Also, I'm ordering decals from here:
http://www.hollandaircraft.nl/Decals.html;
I was originally going to try printing them but that has gone so badly so many times, I jst could not be bothered with it this time. Besides which, I can't find the early KLM logo to use.

Re: VV's VVacform KLM Fokker F.III
Thanks
I put some wood effect on the firewall and made the cockpit and engine area relatively busy going by reference photos (and adding a few random widgets) so that it won't look too sparse from above, particularly since you'll be able to see into it fairly well.

Washing day is a little odd at our place...
An over-brushed coat of yellow ochre oil paint gives a reasonable impression of plywood.

Cowl on, filled, sanded. Undercarriage on. Scratchbuilt ladder (guitar wire).
Took a template of the windows so I can cut them out of acetate sheet.
First coat of paint should be on soon.

Re: VV's VVacform KLM Fokker F.III
Well, I've done just about all I can without decals, as I need them to colour match to. Basically it's time to sit back and wait for them to arrive and let the oil paint dry for the wood effect on the prop and wing. Yes, literally watching paint dry....
As a result of this early success, I may be about to do something very foolish.....

Decals arrived, so I've been trying to colour match for the forward fuselage.
Decals were supplied by Rob at http://www.hollandaircraft.nl/; , who is an absolute champion

Re: VV's VVacform KLM Fokker F.III
Thanks Barry. Yeah, it's pretty nice, hey. I couldn't colour match so in the end I used decal to cover all the panels.
