OK, so here's where I've got to. Decals on, although I've still got to do the serial:

Lots of small bits painted and ready for assembly once the big bit is weathered and matted down:

Rockets: primed but only to see how much sink mark filling was required. Less than I thought!

I still reckon I would've had it done for Friday!

Nice. How did you do the canopy frames, Martin?

Hi David! Thanks.

Acrylic paint, thin brush, steady-ish hand, cocktail stick to remove greeblies. Cockpit green undercoat, followed by DSG.

Thanks. I tried that on my MB2 and the result was passable. I think I need a lot of practice to get anywhere close to your standard.

David,

Teaching granny to suck eggs, maybe, but it's much easier to do a straight line when the frame is aligned with the natural movement of the wrist. It's also important to have your wrist and elbow resting on something solid.

Well, as I'm continuing to build, I'll continue to post until John closes the GB. So, no pics tonight, but canopy on and gaps filled, and decals finished. Tomorrow, Klear-ing, weathering and further work on the rockets.

regards,

Martin
