Tim gets out the Rolls

Post by TimJ »

I'll be building the 1905 Rolls Royce. This is a 1974 boxing of the kit.

Quite a few pieces have come off the sprues over the past 41 years but it's all there (I hope).

I'm looking forward to getting started. :)

Not much progress as I've been working on my Strikemaster but I have got the body halves together.

I got everything lined up as well as possible but there will still be some filling and sanding to do to get rid of the seams.

After some filling and sanding I fitted the floor and gave it some primer, which revealed more filling and sanding required. :frown:

I have got the seats painted and its never to early for a quick mock up. :)

More soon.

Looking good. I actually saw one similar to this at the RR Owners Club meeting last month (no, I am not an RR owner). I was surprised at how big the real thing is.

Thanks for the comments. After some more filling and sanding I gave it a coat of British Racing Green from a Humbrol rattle can.

It looks like putting it on the stand has opened up the gaps again so it looks like a bit more filling and sanding is in order. :frown:

When the title said: Tim gets out the rolls .. I was expecting to red a fair few quips about packed lunches and picnics ...

The car however is coming along nicely and will I am sure concede gracefully after a bit more filler and tlc
