That's really cool Kit - The O-2/337 has always been one of my favorite light aircraft.

YOu need to watch BAT21 now!

Looking forward to this. Always fun to see one built. I'm also working on an O-2 restoration. Our ship is a combat vet from Vietnam.

Ah - so a proper O-2 then as opposed to a standard 337 - That's really cool! You'll have to post some pictures!

That's OK, it's traditional to start a thread with a shot of the unassembled parts around here :-D

Decided to try something I've never attempted before, re-scribing

Image

Image

Image

Assembly started, as it's an original mould the fit is far better than I expected, much better than a later issue I built a while back

Image

Cockpit has been left as is due to the thick glazing, fuselage ready for filler

Image

Couple of big sink marks on the booms but dry fitting shows these will be hidden by the wing joint, one less filling job :)

Thanks for looking
Regards

Gord

Nice work and very brave on the scribing. Something I've yet to do in full. I've got this kit somewhere and a lot of after market bits for it so look forward to seeing yours turn out straight oob.
