Recently I had a new neighbour move in two doors up from me, who is a very, very, very keen railway modeller and is starting to tempt me over to the dark side of modeling :-D

Feeling like a change from a/c modelling I thought it might be fun to get my hands on some cheap trains and add extra detail, I found two of my sons old trains that have been sitting in my loft for the last 20 years and whilst looking in a junk shop I fond an old Britannia class 4-6-2 loco going for £20.

So to answer you question a Class 08 0-6-0 Shunter, a class 33 diesel and the Britannia.

I came up with a cunning plan for the transparencies on the little Shunter, when I sprayed the cabin interior I masked the outside of the window this has given me a shape to use for cutting out the windows. I still have the front windows to make once the others have set.

The extra details really help make this look realistic. Nice work.

That is absolutely cracking, beautiful work. Love the idea for the windows, def filed away for future use. Been humming and hahing about a Deltic but think you have just swayed me. You can explain that one to the Mrs :ha:

I have the kitmaster prototype Deltic in my stash and was thinking of converting it to a later production engine in the three tone green colours.

I love the grimey finish on this, looks like you'd have to was your hands after picking it up. You've set a high bar for the rest of the choo-choos!

That's a real little gem, Splash. Great idea on the windows that seems to have worked really well.

Fantastic. It looks great, and you may be setting a trend for rail builds now. :)
