Jeff's Recce Parasol

Post by jssel »

A little late to the dance. Also I have changed my mind on the entry.

I have gone with the HS126A moulded in 1977.

Decals for two aircraft:

Have you noticed the swastikas on the decal sheet?

Things are progressing well enough on the Hurricane that I will be moving on this build today.

Jeff,

I'm really glad you're building this. In all my time on UAMF, Britmodeller and going to model shows, I don't think I've ever seen another one. I have a couple in the stash and I believe if it goes together like it looks, you should have a lot of fun. Cockpit sidewall detail on a 1/72 Airfix kit from the '70s? Really?

regards,

Martin

Thanks friends. This kit seems loaded for bear. The engine detail is quite nice.

That looks like rather a nice kit and a good job building it too :)

Very nice and I'm surprised at the extent of the cockpit detail that it comes with.

Yeah. You don't see many built up. If you do I guess it is the Italeri one. But the kit is a really dandy. Had it for years it it just jumped out at me. So many of those mid to late 70's kits were rather nice. I have read that until recently, that was the heyday of Airfix.

Thanks for stopping by.

+1.

It looks to have been a painless build thus far. Has that actually been the case?

Hi Martin. Yes it is really a fun build. No vices as yet. Filler has only been needed on sink holes in the moulds.
