Jeff's Recce Parasol
Jeff's Recce Parasol
A little late to the dance. Also I have changed my mind on the entry.
I have gone with the HS126A moulded in 1977.
Boxart:
Innards:
Decals for two aircraft:
Have you noticed the swastikas on the decal sheet?
Things are progressing well enough on the Hurricane that I will be moving on this build today.

Jeff,
I'm really glad you're building this. In all my time on UAMF, Britmodeller and going to model shows, I don't think I've ever seen another one. I have a couple in the stash and I believe if it goes together like it looks, you should have a lot of fun. Cockpit sidewall detail on a 1/72 Airfix kit from the '70s? Really?
regards,
Martin

Thanks friends. This kit seems loaded for bear. The engine detail is quite nice.

Nice choice. Haven't seen one of those before so looking forward to your build.
Re: Jeff's Recce Parasol
Making some great progress on this one. RLM 02 in the cockpit area last night, detailing and dry brushing today.
And the fuselage is now together.

Re: Jeff's Recce Parasol
That looks like rather a nice kit and a good job building it too

Very nice and I'm surprised at the extent of the cockpit detail that it comes with.
Enjoyment over accuracy. That's my motto
Re: Jeff's Recce Parasol
Yeah. You don't see many built up. If you do I guess it is the Italeri one. But the kit is a really dandy. Had it for years it it just jumped out at me. So many of those mid to late 70's kits were rather nice. I have read that until recently, that was the heyday of Airfix.

It looks to have been a painless build thus far. Has that actually been the case?

Re: Jeff's Recce Parasol
Hi Martin. Yes it is really a fun build. No vices as yet. Filler has only been needed on sink holes in the moulds.
