Squadron Leader Archie McKellar signifying the 4 Bf109s that he had just shot down on the early afternoon sortie on 7 Oct 1940....he got his 5th 109 of the day later that afternoon.

Finnish Air Force Hurricane, one of a batch supplied in 1940 before Russia became an ally. These colours are those applied for the later Continuation war, in late 1941. This machine was one of several supplied that still had fabric cover outer wings.
