Previously-built Models

Post by JohnRatzenberger »

Here post 1-2 images of previous builds of GB-subject models. You do not have to be a member of this GB to do so.

If your model has a build thread on UAMF (old or new), then please include the link.

Some classic 1/600th Airfix's. These have been stored for years. I don't know why I thought sticking them down with gaffer tape was a good idea at the time but I now have some stands to glue back on  . Most of these were built some time ago, in fact there's not one completed less than 15 years ago, so many come complete with sink marks and visible seams.

Just like the way I model today really ;-)

Not everything in the attic is Airfix. This is Revell's old 1/720th Ark Royal.

Italeri's 1/720th USS Kitty Hawk. Might be useful for the Cold War SIG table.

1/700th USS Ticonderoga is from a cheapo kit by CC Lee. I tarted it up quite nicely using etched brass parts.

When it comes to the floaty things, I'm a carrieraholic. If it weren't for the grout lines, the tiles make an almost passable seascape!
