More rigging. I really have to be in "The Zone" to rig a kit, and I was surprised that I managed this today - as I was up at 4 am and again at 5 am with Young Master Hyperactive.

I also added detail to the bowsprit.
This needs painting and a few lines rigging.

Keep going, a couple hundred more lines & it'll look just the part  I can recommend a couple books to guide you ...

Fortunately I have no intention of doing anything remotely realistic :-D

A few more lines will do it!

Sometimes the "rigging zone" appears unbidden.

And you seem to have found yourself well caught up in it Andrew 8-)

This is getting better and better.

The bowsprit is now painted black. A few rigging lines need adding.
Will The Zone be with me today? :omg

Then I need to add the ship's boats.

The Zone was NOT with me today

I have added a few lines around the bowsprit and between formast and midmast. Enthusiasm for more rigging has dropped, so I may just concentrate on finishing off the upper deck now.

The little jolly boats.

Actually, jolly little boats! :-D

In for priming along with a few cannons.

Probably best not to eat any chicken satays at the workbench whilst you're waiting for the cannon and boats to dry!

Years of lab work have cured me of eating at the workbench!

And they're a more tandoori colour now!

I added the boats and used an umber wash on the decks.

At this point I decided to quit whilst I was ahead. I will stick down the etched bits though.
