No 'live' photo yet but that is the culprit that will fit into our little naval arms race here:

This looks interesting, Marek. Our only WW1 build so far :)

First 'live' pics of the model

Platic looks good, maybe the sprue gates should be little smaller but I'll be careful. I have double railings for 1/400 still left over after Z31 and T21 so I will try to use these with some sprucing up. This configuration of plastic just begs form some TLC.

It looks like a nice kit. Etched handrails always make a difference, I find :)

Made quite a progress today (from my perspective of course :)); hull assembled, smoothed and puttied where needed.

If my little speedy build progresses that way, I may actually build another 1/350 subject from Mirage, U-boot. So far it is quite a lovely kit. Mirage traversed a galaxy full of improvement in their methodologies! It actually almost peers big companies in engineering (so far).

In fact, I have Podhalanin too, if I get more benchtime during this GB, both will be made.

I cross my fingers, maybe you can do it both.

Unfortunately I have been swamped at work lately, a state of matters that will change tomorrow :). Nevertheless, I had not forgotten how to pull off some AWOL to the modelling cave :).
State of affairs as of today:

Railings are not exactly correct for period DKM but they will have to do. It looks better with than without anyway. Hull is primed, I intend to put red and dark grey tomorrow, than paint decks and paint each step individually afterwards.

The handrails make a big difference. It will look good with some paint on.

Great progress. The handrails really lift it.

Railings look great. In fact the whole model has now come to life.

Another nice session today. Not much done except hull painted dark grey/red (black will be painted tomorrow) but very rewarding.

Hopefully it will be downhill from here (except for rigging which will be pain in the ...) :)
