Already looks great. It will be a sight to behold once you get all the boats installed. I only had five to do on the Victorious.

Sorry, despite the best of plans, nothing happened today and tomorrow is already a wipe-out ... maybe boats on Thursday ...

These things do happen despite the best of plans. Personally, I haven't touched the Forrestal for over a fortnight :frown: although not for lack of intention.

Most of the boats are on; still four to go on the racks midship.

First problem was that the kit is short one boat, by their instructions. Second problem was that not all the supplied boats matched with the instructions. I used what they gave me as close as I could and moved along without remorse.

The kit provides PE cradles, but not enough and they are just too small to deal with. The kit also provides resin cradles - again not quite enough, but they are easier to deal with. However they look a bit big (tall) and even though I sanded them down a bit, I am wishing I had done more as the boats sit a bit high. However, even gentle sanding was getting destructive, so I quit.

As note, four more to do; not sure where I will go after that. I hope to get time in tomorrow to finish up the boats and any touchup from them.

Feat Extraordinaire :). I totally understand the workflow bottlenecks, had to gunpoint my own schedule :). Whenever you finish it, I am looking forward to the rest of the build and the end game.

Thank you, gentlemen.

With this being the final-final day and work being far from complete, I am going to call it a DNF and pick up the build in the ship model forum - I am fully engaged the next few days, so it may be a bit.

I regret that I could not do justice to the GB or the kit; it should have been 'easy' but ....

Anyway, thank you for your support !

That's a shame as it was looking very good. Finish it at your leisure.

It's looking great as far as you got and I believe rather than waste all your effort to date by rushing a finish, it's better to take your time. I just squeaked in with my ship, but there was no way I could get the planes done so I'll join you over on the ship thread for the finale!
