Daz's FB.11 **FINISHED**

I've no experience of PM's decals, but I have the Airfix versions on standby.

Obviously, I will be going for a Korean war scheme on this one.

Hand-painted the innards to this one tonight. As it's my first Fury of any kind, I won't be bodging together any extra bits to go in that empty cockpit, other than commandeering a pilot from the spares box.

Fuselage complete. Wings built up and joined to the fuselage.

Thankfully not!

It's a shame kits like these aren't around much these days - would be great starter jobs.

Keep up the good work, man! It, like all PM kits, is pretty basic, but can be whipped into something pretty darned decent looking. I have the Airfix boxing of this kit, and did it up as an Iraqi machine. Pic is on my flickr page....

Here's my progress so far....

Started painting the undersides and fuselage sides this morning. Going for a Korean War-era aircraft, complete with the stripes.

While I was putting these photos up, I remembered suddenly that I did in fact once own a piece of a Sea Fury! It was the spade grip from the control column, and had been restored by a friend of mine. It had all the buttons and things on it for the cannons and rockets, too! I ended up giving it away to a Sea Fury project in America - the owners were restoring a former racer back to stock T.20 condition.

A worthy cause, Daz! I've seen some of those racers and they are a travesty. Good to know someone is going in the opposite direction!
