Coming along well, Andrew.

Decal antimacassars? Surely oil paint would have been more appropriate..... :ha:

Perhaps we should have an antimacassar GB? ;-)
Nice work so far. Really looking forward to the end result.

Looking good. I'd have thought that if you were anti-antimacassar that would make you promacassar.

The seats are installed on the floor.

Image

Two passenger seats missing!

Scratchbuilt replacements will have figures in them to distract attention!

A quick dry fit of the fuselage looks promising.

I need to add some extra floor near the door. Airfix does not supply one for the anteroom by the main door.

I want to use Glue'n'glaze on the windows if possible, so I need to paint the sides before assembly.

Image

I had a lot of primer left in the airbrush, so the wing got painted too. A black Trimotor would look truly evil
Image

After that dried, then a thin coat of sand primer on the nose, as a base for the red.

Red nose day for the Trimotor!

Image

A mix of 1:1 medium sea grey and aluminium, lightly misted on over the dark primer, gives me the look I was after- not too shiny!

Image

It's an easy mix to replicate, so I can paint the sides before assembly and then blend the rest in.

That red came out well. Red, orange and yellow are always tricky customers.
