why would they need a crash helmet? Aren't drummers' skulls almost entirely solid save for a walnut-sized cavity filled with water and love for Neil Peart?

Ahhhhh… Neil Peart. He paints with words. But Geddy never shot rockets at him. Might have made Rush more exciting had that been the case. Don't get me wrong the first Rush album was a rock classic and always will be but they did get patchy very quickly after didn't they? 2112 was fun though.

Good to see you back in action Mr Monkey. I think it is something of a tradition to have three pages of chat on your blitz thread before the kit even comes out of the box. The rocket attack on the drummer is a good start and hopefully there will be more obscure music and odd ball chat to follow. After 2112 and Permanent Waves I gave up on Rush.

Well I'm off on my holibobs on Thursday so I can't see anything happening before then. Let's go for the traditional three pages before we start ruining perfectly good kits.

Carb up with beer and crisps. And listen to the Fall. You may have forgotten about them. They're from Manchester you know.

OK. Those two I like. Compels me to hit the road. So glad I am not getting old.

To kill time I have been watching D.I. Gower's greatest hits. A sublime, languid, fluid, effortless, lazy, elegant, classically English batsman. The kind of batsman they wrote comic books about in the 1950s. Not that I was actually around then but I guess they did. A man who would stand with one hand on his hip as he watched a ball go to the boundary and not even care to run. Supreme sporting elegance, and he once buzzed an Australian cricket ground in a Tiger Moth just for funnies. During a test match. Enjoy 20 odd minutes of one of sport's greatest ever exponents. For free, courtesy of the interwebz.

Cricket?!?!?!? oh dear, I'm afraid I'm a very poor Englishman and an even worse Yorkshireman in that I have no interest in the game. At all. I'll watch sublime, languid, fluid, effortless, guys and gals racing cars and motorcycles. I'll even watch dodgy bands from the other side of the Pennines. But cricket, no. Soz old chap.

Well that's not exactly my fault Shaun. Direct complaints to the forum management.
