So far, so good. I still think the alarm in the building was caused by Mr Surfacer fumes. :)

Can't wait for the morning updates. Looking forward to seeing this thing in pink. Also interested in how Roy's decals work out.

Something to ponder while waiting for the next Adventures in Blitz Modeling.

If the Wilson sisters are from Vancouver, BC, is Heart a Seattle band or Vancouver band.

Things that keep me up at night.

Hello Jim. Are you there Jim. Come in please. Must be a "rain delay."

The second session started at 9am today with my pink mix being sprayed toward the model. I'm starting to get disenchanted. Seams galore, spattery paint, and general poor building techniques were highlighted by the pink. Ugh. Yesterday was fun, today not so much.

Jeff - I always considered Heart a Seattle band. I'm pretty sure both the sisters were born here. Heart really doesn't fit my timeframe, but the Lovemongers do...

Oh c'mon, it looked so good last night that it can't look that bad now. Splash another coat on it and forge ahead!

Ok, here it is. It is pink. There is tons of splatter for reasons I can't explain. Finish is rough. Next time I'd use gloss white rather than matt white. But I guess I'll proceed. I do like how the colour is pale when viewed in its own, but shows the pink cast when placed over white.

Now a question...how long should I give the Tamiya paint to dry before I Future? Tamiya seems sticky for hours sometimes.

Kind of feel like this today:

More Nirvana...

I feel like this describes my model:

And I keep leaving out the ladies, even if they are technically from Olympia.

By Blitz standards (if there are any) the Spitty is looking quite nice.

Lunch time. First coat of Future is on. The clock has reappeared.

More of the Seattle ladies:

The Gits were another group of Ohio to Seattle transplants. Sadly, Mia Zapata was murdered at 27.

1:15pm update - Decals are on. I used K5083's method of a puddle of Future to set the decals. I hope it works...right now they look like they are floating above the surface. My original plan was to use the Airfix D-Day stripes, but I realized they are too big for my option. So I used a little artistic license and left off the stripes. Since I'd done that, I also relocated the roundels and code to what at the time appeared a better location. In retrospect, I think they are set too far back. Since I've already ruined the historical accuracy of the model, I'm going to introduce one more change a little later in the build.

This hour it has been Seattle super group time...

Looks good. Love the color. I think it is spot on. As for the invasion stripes, I assume the a/c was pink before the stripes got applied for D-day. You don't have to model a photo.

Let me know how the "puddle of future" works. I haven't tried that. How are Roy's decals? They look good.

I agree, the color looks really good, as good as any interpretation of the pink that I've seen. Overall the build is looking very nice!
