Thanks August. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Mindless stuff like sanding and re-scribing, yes (so I've had lots of music during this build). Concentratey stuff like masking, decalling, adding detail, I tend to prefer silence.

Well, it's finished, with a few minutes left. I'd got to this stage:

And then remembered I still had to attach the aerial wire.

So that's it, all done and dusted. I've finally built my first – and last – Amodel kit. To be honest, if I'd had three times longer I don't know as I could have resolved all its issues, so given the constraints of time and kit, I'm fairly happy with the result, and at least I finished  I'll post some bigger, better pics when I've had a tidy up.

That's a frankly incredible result. Kudos, sir!

I'm almost tempted to dig out my Amod... *smacks self on nose with rolled-up newspaper while firmly saying "NO!"*
Is this your sanderling?.

What the?..... How does that even happen? In a blitz?
Absolutely staggering result.

i also like the appearance of the hammer at your model bench. Was that in reserve in case you finally had it with Amodel?....

I have to add my chorus of "wow, and A-Model in a blitz", but you appear to have survived intact and the final product looks excellent.

Lovely job Mike. No less than what I'd expect, museum quality results in a day.

A good model is any model you can walk away from.
