I seem to have lost my MiG19. So it'll be a 21 firstly, and maybe secondly.

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

You know I'm up for this one. 1/48th Hobbyboss Mig-17PFU initially, with a possible 1/72nd Foxbat to follow
I'll start a thread on my next day off

Re: Sign-up and Chat
Looking forward to seeing this one Daz. I wish someone would make a decent 1/72 example.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
It's not bad Stu, in fact it's decent enough that I picked one up recently in Masterbox packaging, but we could do with a more modern one in 1/72nd. The same goes for the -19. Trumpeter have been promising a new-19 for a couple of years but they have, as yet, failed to deliver.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
I don't do Migs.
No really, I have a (supposedly) strict "no Migs allowed" policy for my collection. When I set up my thematic limits, I was so ticked off at them for completely hogging the limelight during the cold war and becoming synonymous for "Soviet fighter" that I decided to ban them, when all other Ruskies got promoted to collection theme.
So much for theory.
Over the years a few have snuck in, either in the shape of a WWII propellor beasty, or as part of some of my crazier collection projects. I could live with those.
And then there was a slight complication during the recent vacform GB, and a highly illegal 31 snuck in, because I needed one of it's missles as a master for conversion. Let it not be said that I'm a dogmatic ingrate; this plane has earned it's place on the shelves by it's most generous donation of rocketry
So, one Zvezda MiG-31 coming up..

Re: Sign-up and Chat
We really need a 25 and a 29 in here folks, that would give us the complete jet lineup

Hey Kitaholic, sorry if I've jumped in offering the same kit as you mate.
I have noticed though that all 3 Mig-31's are from different manufacturers and it would be really nice to see a comparison of what the 3 look like.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
Not a problem mate, It's just that after looking at the kit, what I want to do to it will take longer than the GB so be better to change choice

Ahh ok mate well hopefully if my -31 is completed in time I'm hoping to get either a -19 or a -29UB into the air too.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
I can't start this for a while yet.
I've lost a box of model kits. I had a box with kits set aside for the various forum GBs and that box is missing.
It has my MiG 19, and two 21s in it. Right now all I can lay my hands on are a half built 21 and a started 15UTI.
I'm getting rather distracted about finding this missing box.
