Re: Kit's MiG-31
Interesting. Two different toolings of the 31 in the GB. Might provide some interesting comparisons.

Re: Kit's MiG-31
It looks a damn sight better than the Zhengdefu example that I have.rob_van_riel wrote:I guess we'll know soon enoughKitaholic wrote:though afaik there still isn't a great tooling available.
Great subject choice. It has to be the most sophisticated MiG ever made.

Re: Kit's MiG-31-2=29
Bit of work done now
Main fuselage together with fins dry fitted for test
Bit of fettling necessary to get them to fit
OOB cockpit (will be putting a Neomega seat in though)
Small amount of filler needed at underside join, most of the join is hidden under nacelles though
Silly step join at nose almost disappeared with no filler
Nacelles together. Outside joins are great, no filler. Inside joins needed a bit
Beginning to look like a MiG now
Thanks for looking

Re: Kit's MiG-31-2=29
Thanks guys, yes the Fulcrum is one of those aircraft that just looks right
Slow progress at the moment due to bad man-flu (2 weeks with no sign of going)
Main airframe complete and primed
Took the tailplanes off and cut the flaps to reposition them as they seem to appear once powered down

Re: Kit's MiG-31-2=29
Great progress Kit. Of course, if your drooping the flaps you could go to the trouble of closing the auxiliary intakes.
