That kit looks very good, never seen it before (not that it means anything :)).

Cool, don't see a lot of these built. Worth watching closely.

I began by painting the engine and cockpit parts and assembling both.

The wings and fuselage were then assembled this afternoon.

To make the model a little different I will reposition the flaps, before joining the wing to the fuselage the flap sections were cut away from the wing and the resulting voids were filled.
Image

When the filler had dried the wing was then glued to the fuselage and is now set aside for the glue to dry.

Dropping Corsair flaps is hard to do, but should look great. I respect the effort and look forward to the result. Kit looks not bad so far.

Splash, thanks for including the link to your walkround, it was very useful- I now plan to make a model of the Yeovilton machine at some point.

The wing to fuselage joints needed some filling as these joints were annoyingly awkward to fit properly.

The airframe complete with tailplanes and flaps, painting can now begin.

Hmmm, shame about the wing-fuselage filler. One of the reasons for the inverted gull was the clean join of the wings to the fuselage - the mold-maker must not have gotten the word. :)

Very good work, always a pleasure to watch.

That's going to look very good in those markings. Excellent choice.
